Tim Bricker serves as the president of CommonSpirit’s Central Region, overseeing the health system’s expansive operations in Arizona, Nevada, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and North Dakota.
With a 30-year career in health care leadership, Tim has made a significant impact as a senior executive for several hospitals and health systems throughout the United States. Of particular note, Tim has led highly successful initiatives in the areas of patient safety, service line transformation and new hospital development.
Tim’s experience includes six years as President and CEO of Dignity Health Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers in Arizona, where he drove transformative growth initiatives, led the development of new hospitals, forged strategic partnerships and championed operational excellence. Tim also served in senior leadership roles for health systems in Utah, Washington and his home state of Oregon.
Tim’s expertise also extends to consulting for two prestigious national firms, where he provided hospitals, health systems and physician groups throughout the U.S. with high-level strategic planning and operational improvement.
Tim began his career in health care as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility and a private home. He also spent his early years working in health care policy in Washington, DC. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in public and international affairs from Princeton University and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan.
