The CXO of the Year award honors leaders who have advanced patient experience as a core component of care delivery, applying innovative approaches, strategic rigor, and sustained focus to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
Haycock has worked closely with nursing, physician, and operational leaders to embed patient experience into daily clinical practice and enterprise strategy. By strengthening the connection between experience measurement and care delivery, she has helped CommonSpirit move towards an integrated, systemwide approach to improving how care is delivered and experienced. She has worked to align experience data with quality and safety priorities, establishing clear performance expectations, and supporting leaders in translating insights into targeted improvement efforts.
“Camille Haycock brings clarity and discipline to how patient experience is led at scale,” said Patrick T. Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Press Ganey. “She has earned trust across CommonSpirit by holding patient experience to the same standards as quality and safety. By aligning data, accountability, and daily practice, she has helped create a shared operating model across a complex national system. Camille sets a bar for what it means to lead experience with rigor, consistency, and follow-through.”
“Camille is wildly committed to elevating patient experience,” said CommonSpirit President and CEO Wright Lassiter III. “For Camille, patient experience isn’t an organizational initiative. It’s part of the fabric and fiber of what CommonSpirit is. And she wants every patient to have the experience that she would want for members of her own family.”
“Patient experience is at the heart of our mission,” said Kathleen Sanford, DBA, RN, FAAN, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at CommonSpirit. “We’re really lucky to have someone like Camille who is passionate about it and who understands that it’s not just about metrics, but about every experience that we have with patients.”
Haycock accepted the award at Press Ganey’s HX26 conference in Orlando where she credited the CommonSpirit patient experience team as well as all of CommonSpirit’s dedicated providers and care givers for their commitment to elevating patient experience through countless moments of humankindness and connection.
