CommonSpirit Physicians Receive AMWA 2025 Inspire Award

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) has announced that Corey Karlin-Zysman, MD, SFHM, FACP, Nana Coleman, MD, M.Ed, and Veronica Mallet, MD, MMM are the recipients of the 2025 AMWA INSPIRE Award. This annual award celebrates women physicians who exemplify the highest values of vision, integrity, service, and mentorship in medicine and healthcare.

Dr. Karlin-Zysman, chief of physician enterprise at CommonSpirit, supports the success of CommonSpirit’s health care delivery across the continuum including physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic teams across the health system, inclusive of more than 6,000 employed providers and 1,000 clinic locations.

Dr. Mallett, chief admin officer at CommonSpirit, works to ensure healthcare equity so the provider  workforce mirrors the communities we serve.

Dr. Nana Coleman, chief academic and scientific officer at CommonSpirit, oversees academic and faculty affairs across the health system and provides scientific and research oversight across all CommonSpirit research entities and programs. .  In this role, Dr. Coleman is responsible for advancing the health system’s academic and research missions to foster excellence in clinical training, improve patient outcomes and accelerate discovery across the learning health system.

The AMWA INSPIRE Award is an annual program of the AMWA Leadership Council that honors women physicians who inspire others because of their dedication to healthcare, compassion for patients, leadership, advocacy, or community service. Recipients of the award are nominated by colleagues, mentees, supervisors, trainees, or collaborators.
