CommonSpirit Welcomes General Surgeon Brian Viscomi, MD

Chattanooga native Dr. Brian Viscomi uses minimally invasive and open surgical techniques to treat a wide range of conditions and is now accepting new patients.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (October 13, 2026) – CommonSpirit Medical Group is pleased to announce that Chattanooga native Brian Viscomi, MD, has joined the General Surgery – Ringgold clinic.

A graduate of East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Dr. Viscomi completed his general surgery residency at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Louisiana.  He specializes in comprehensive surgical evaluation, using both minimally invasive and open surgical techniques to treat a wide range of conditions. 

Dr. Viscomi joins Andrew Harper, MD, and S. Clark Kennedy, MD, at General Surgery - Ringgold.  He welcomes new patients and is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care to the community he calls home. Outside of his surgical practice, Dr. Viscomi leads an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking, fishing, and cooking with his family.
