Steve Lin, MD, FACC, RPVI, FASE, is the South Region winner of the 2025 CommonSpirit Health Physician Enterprise Vision Award in the Innovation category.

Dr. Lin, an esteemed interventional cardiologist and heart failure specialist at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Cardiology, trained at world-class institutions like Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. He is widely recognized for his pioneering use of lung ultrasound and B-line assessment to manage heart failure patients, the achievement for which he earned this prestigious award. 

Lung ultrasound B-lines serve as a marker of pulmonary congestion and interstitial edema, providing a noninvasive way to assess fluid status, tailor diuretic therapy and monitor congestive heart failure decompensation in real-time.
