CommonSpirit Welcomes Risham Javaid, MD, to Corbin

CORBIN, Ky. (September 24, 2026) – CommonSpirit Health has announced that Risham Javaid, MD, has joined CommonSpirit Medical Group - Primary Care in Corbin. Dr. Javaid places immense value on the continuity of care and considers it a privilege to support individuals throughout their health journeys.

Dr. Risham Javaid is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, having successfully completed her residency training at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College (2013-2019), providing a strong educational foundation for her practice.

“The most rewarding part of being a primary care physician is building long-term relationships with patients and their families,” she said. “Being able to care for individuals across different stages of life, guide them through health challenges and witness improvements in their well-being is deeply fulfilling.”

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Javaid enjoys a diverse range of personal interests. She expresses her curious and adventurous spirit through cooking and exploring various cuisines. Additionally, Dr. Javaid has a keen interest in makeup artistry and aesthetics, showcasing a creative side that complements her analytical and compassionate professional demeanor. Fluent in Urdu, Hindi, English, and Punjabi, her rich cultural understanding further enhances her ability to connect authentically with a diverse patient population.
