Saint Joseph East Honors DAISY and BEE Award Winners

Meet Rebecca Finkbine (RN) and Peaches Adeyi (PCA), Saint Joseph East's latest DAISY & BEE Award winners, for their exceptional care.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 20, 2026)Saint Joseph East is proud to announce its quarterly DAISY and BEE award winners, Rebecca Finkbine, Charge RN, and Peaches Adeyi, Patient Care Assistant.

Rebecca Finkbine is this quarter’s DAISY Award winner. Rebecca provides exemplary care, compassion and kindness to her patients. When Rebecca was joined by a nursing student to shadow her for a night, Rebecca had to balance best practices for her student, and ensure patient comfort. Rebecca’s nominator wrote: “The entire nursing and non-nursing support staff on the 3rd floor Telemetry Unit are extraordinary caregivers, but Rebecca stood out for the way she balanced compassionate care with teaching responsibilities. Rebecca performed all the necessary duties of a night-shift RN with exceptional gentleness, working in low light and moving quietly, so as not to disturb my child’s desperately needed rest. She explained each step to the student nurse, demonstrating how high-quality care can be delivered without compromising a patient’s comfort. Her professionalism, patience and ability to teach, while caring deeply for her patient was remarkable. It was clear that the nurses and staff on the 3rd Floor Telemetry Unit function as a unified team, and Rebecca plays an important role in fostering that environment. Rebecca embodies the compassion, clinical excellence and patient-centered care that reflect the very best of Saint Joseph’s core values. Her care made a meaningful difference during an extremely challenging time for our family, and she is truly deserving of DAISY Award recognition.”

Peaches Adeyi has been named this quarter’s BEE Award winner. Peaches cares for patients and their families during their hardest moments. A nominator wrote, “Ms. Peaches is an absolute sweetheart, not only taking care of my husband’s needs, but also mine during his stay. She has been a complete blessing and very helpful. Thank you, Ms. Peaches, and God Bless.” Another nominator wrote: “I met Peaches on my first visit to the hospital and saw her again on my second. We picked up right where we left off. She always stays and chats with me and her kindness is second to none.”

The DAISY and BEE Awards seek to recognize clinical caregivers who go above and beyond to make the healing presence of God known. These awards allow patients, families, and colleagues to nominate nurses and non-clinical staff whose exceptional care and compassion made a lasting impact. Nominate an extraordinary caregiver at CHI Saint Joseph Health.
