Saint Joseph Hospital Honors DAISY Award Winners

Meet Jacquelyn Bueno and Sarah Henson, Saint Joseph Hospital's latest DAISY Award winners. Their compassion and extraordinary care touch patients' lives deeply.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 20, 2026) Saint Joseph Hospital is proud to announce its quarterly DAISY award winners, Jacquelyn Bueno, Clinical Flex RN, and Sarah Henson, Cardiovascular Charge RN.

Jacquelyn Bueno connects with her patients and their families, ensuring no one feels like a stranger. Jacquelyn’s nominator wrote: “The family was impressed with Jackie’s knowledge and hard-work. She informed the family as events occurred and showed concern and compassion for her patient and the patient’s family. The family remembers Jackie hugging them and the connection she had with the family. It meant so much to them that their nurse felt the same sorrow that they were experiencing. It was overwhelming that someone would have so much empathy for someone and their loved ones, whom she had just met.”

Sarah Henson exemplifies humankindness to her patients and their families during their most difficult times. When a patient passed away, Sarah made copies of their fingerprints and took locks of their hair to give to the patient’s family. Her nominator said, “Sarah not only was present for the patient, it was not unusual to see her in the room hugging the family, crying with them, laughing and allowing them to tell stories. As the family told me this, I watched Sarah interact with the family and the patient. It was obvious how she had impacted this patient’s family. Sarah embellished humankindness and this family will never forget that.”

The DAISY Awards seek to recognize clinical caregivers who go above and beyond to make the healing presence of God known. These awards allow patients, families, and colleagues to nominate nurses whose exceptional care and compassion made a lasting impact. Nominate an extraordinary caregiver at CHI Saint Joseph Health..
