Saint Joseph London Earns National Recognition from Forbes and Newsweek

Hospital is one of Forbes’ Top Hospitals for 2026; ranked among best in-state hospitals by Newsweek

LONDON, Ky. (December 15, 2025) – Saint Joseph London has been recognized by Forbes as one of its Top Hospitals for 2026, one of only five hospitals in Kentucky to receive this achievement, and has also been named one of the best in-state hospitals by Newsweek.

“We are proud to serve our friends and neighbors in southeastern Kentucky,” said John Yanes, president of Saint Joseph London. “These recognitions by Forbes and Newsweek highlight Saint Joseph London’s dedication to providing high quality, compassionate care to our patients. Our caregivers come to work each and every day focused on fulfilling our mission to make the healing presence of God known in our world to improve the health of the people we serve.”

In developing its inaugural list, Forbes consulted healthcare measurement experts and partnered with Inovalon, a healthcare data and analytics firm, to calculate the ratings. Developed by a panel of experts, quality data from sources like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is analyzed and compared. The scoring methodology prioritizes patient outcomes, including mortality, readmission and infection rates, and adjusts for social drivers of health to ensure fair comparison. This process is designed to provide patients with an unbiased scorecard to inform their health care choices.

Newsweek’s rankings were determined by data and results from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient experience surveys, and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey.
