Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Honors DAISY and BEE Award Winners

Meet Olivia Ballard (RN), and Hunter Greer (Maintenance), Saint Joseph Mount Sterling's latest DAISY & BEE Award winners. Discover their impact.

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (April 20, 2026) – Saint Joseph Mount Sterling is proud to announce its quarterly DAISY and BEE award winners, Olivia Ballard, RN, and Hunter Greer, Maintenance Mechanic.

Olivia Ballard is this quarter’s DAISY Award winner. As an RN in the emergency room, Olivia ensures that her care is patient-centered. Olivia’s nominator wrote: “I have a phobia of needles. When I told Olivia how much I struggled, she was great. She took the time to let me decide where I felt safest for her to try. She was so calm and professional. One moment I was bracing myself, the next, it was in and she was done! She’s incredibly skilled and I’m so grateful for how she handled me.”

Hunter Greer has been named this quarter’s BEE Award winner for his kindness and empathy in helping a patient’s spouse. A nominator wrote, “Recently, during a routine visit, a patient’s spouse faced a significant challenge in transitioning their loved one from their vehicle into our facility. It was in this moment of vulnerability that Hunter, with a keen eye and an even keener heart, observed their struggle. Without hesitation, he stepped forward, offering immediate and invaluable aid. He not only located a much-needed wheelchair, but personally ensured the patient was comfortably and safely transported to their oncology appointment. He made certain to inform both the patient and our staff that he would return as soon as they were ready, to assist them back to their car. Moments like these, where an individual goes above and beyond, not out of obligation but out of an innate desire to help, define the heart of Saint Joseph Health.”

The DAISY and BEE Awards seek to recognize clinical caregivers who go above and beyond to make the healing presence of God known. These awards allow patients, families, and colleagues to nominate nurses and non-clinical staff whose exceptional care and compassion made a lasting impact. Nominate an extraordinary caregiver at CHI Saint Joseph Health.
