St. Luke's Health Announces New President for The Vintage Hospital

HOUSTON, TX (October 6, 2025) – St. Luke's Health, a member of CommonSpirit, today announced that Elizabeth Ortega has been appointed president of St. Luke's Health-The Vintage Hospital, effective October 13, 2025. 

Ortega is recognized for her track record in driving financial and market share growth, as well as leading capital projects. Her experience includes aligning culture and strategy to enhance physician recruitment and employee engagement. Ortega was most recently with HCA Healthcare where she served as a Gulf Coast Division VP and Houston hospital CEO.

Mario Garner, who served as president of The Vintage Hospital since 2018, recently accepted a hospital leadership position in CommonSpirit’s Arizona market.
