I believe women deserve a sense of ownership, autonomy and understanding over their body and their health. With a strong background in education, I take every opportunity to explain the basis of their conditions, as well as the full scope of options for management available, to promote informed choices towards a happier and healthier life. I attended UCLA for my undergraduate degree, majoring in Physiology, followed by 4 years in the Pacific Northwest for medical school. During my time at Oklahoma State University for residency, I received awards for Excellence in Teaching (to our younger residents and medical students), as well as the highest score on our annual board readiness exam. I participated in multiple research projects throughout my time at OSU, and had the honor and privilege of being selected as the Chief Resident during my final year. I was instrumental in instituting a robotic surgery curriculum, as well as making the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery program a standard part of residency education. I have received excellent training in high-risk obstetrics and a wide scope of approaches to gynecologic surgery, with an emphasis on minimally invasive. I pride myself on the ability to tailor a surgical approach directly to the needs of each patient. I look for opportunities to provide procedures in the office for well-suited patients. I am passionate about family planning and look forward to offering a wide range of contraceptive options and preconception counseling.
