Dr. Cooper's expertise includes general, laparoscopic, robotic and endocrine surgery. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cooper earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona and has a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. After completing his surgical internship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Cooper finished his general surgical training in the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. In his free time, Dr. Cooper enjoys triathlon, travel, and golf. He is a three-time IRONMAN Triathlon finisher and currently serves as the Medical Director for the IRONMAN Arizona full distance triathlon held each November in Tempe, Arizona.
