I treat each of my patients as I would want my own family member to be treated. I enjoy listening to my patients' personal lives and providing evidence-based care so we can work together as a team to improve outcomes and well-being. I believe in tailoring their cardiovascular care to their life goals while providing comprehensive and compassionate care.
I became a doctor primarily given my desire to help others and make a difference in the world around me. I eventually chose the field of clinical cardiac electrophysiology as this field not only gives you the ability to treat with education and medication, but also the ability to cure some abnormal heart rhythms.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and 7 year old triplets. I also enjoy most outdoor activities (e.g. hiking, fishing, biking…), science fiction novels, movies, and playing chess with my father and kids.
Dr. Nasir is a cardiologist who specializes in electrophysiology, the study of the heart's electrical activity. He cares for patients with arrhythmias (heart rhythm problems) in both the clinic and the hospital. Among other treatments, he performs catheter ablation (in which a flexible tube called a catheter is advanced from a small vessel in the leg to destroy the tissue in the heart causing an arrhythmia), pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter defibrillator placement, lead extraction (removing a wire from a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator because of a problem such as infection), subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillators and leadless pacemakers (small devices implanted directly into a heart chamber to treat certain conditions).
