Morganne Mathew, MD

Dr. Morganne Mathew is a board-certified pediatrician, bringing a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to the well-being of newborns and their families. She received her medical training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by specialized pediatric training at Texas Children's Hospital.

Before joining the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group, Dr. Mathew significantly contributed to the establishment of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at St. Luke's Hospital The Woodlands. In this role, she provided dedicated care for newborns within the Family Birthing Center, ensuring a healthy start for new lives.

Driven by her passion for ensuring all babies receive comprehensive follow-up care after hospital discharge, Dr. Mathew founded The Bridge Clinic in 2014. The Clinic works in close collaboration with the staff of the St. Luke’s NICU and Family Birthing Center, offering crucial transitional care to babies until they can establish a primary care provider. The Bridge Clinic provides expert monitoring and support for common newborn challenges such as jaundice, weight loss, and breastfeeding difficulties, along with general newborn care, educating and empowering families during the precious first weeks. Dr. Mathew is dedicated to helping families identify a long-term primary care provider that best fits their needs, aiming for a smooth transition before the two-month Well Child Visit.

Dr. Mathew's journey into medicine was inspired by a lifelong love for childcare, making pediatrics her natural calling. She was the first in her family to pursue a career in medicine, driven by a desire to provide excellent care and support to the youngest patients and their families. Her special interests lie in the development and prevention of allergies, asthma, and eczema in newborns, reflecting her comprehensive approach to early childhood health.
