The Bennett & Suzy Katz Cancer Resource Center at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz offers you and your loved ones a place to get the support you need. The center provides access to information and services related to all aspects of cancer care. Our staff includes oncology-certified nurses and patient navigators to help answer your questions, coordinate your care and refer you to support services. Every program and service we offer is free of charge.

At the Bennett & Suzy Katz Cancer Resource Center, we host a range of support groups. In addition to a general group for patients and loved ones affected by cancer, we offer specialized support groups for patients with advanced/metastatic cancer, lymphedema, prostate cancer or a bone marrow transplant. In addition, we provide support groups for caregivers and children whose parents or loved ones have cancer.

Yes. At Oncology/Hematology – Dignity Health Medical Group in Santa Cruz, we offer patients undergoing chemotherapy a scalp-cooling system. This system reduces the likelihood of chemotherapy-induced hair loss in men and women with solid tumor cancers, such as those associated with breast, prostate, ovarian, uterine, lung and other tissues.
