Our volunteers range in all ages and they make a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients as well as our employees.
Yes. All patients must register at Patients Medical Center.
If your physician schedules outpatient services at Patients Medical Center, you can make your registration process quicker by calling us at (713) 948-7039. This preregistration is available for any testing or procedures your doctor orders at our hospital.
Please have your insurance card and physician’s orders ready when you call. We’ll verify your personal and insurance information and provide you with an estimate of any amounts due. When you arrive, you’ll be fast-tracked through the outpatient registration department in the main lobby and directed to your procedure area.
Some insurance plans require precertification for certain tests and procedures. Check your insurance card for instructions. If precertification is required, you or a family member should contact your insurance provider as soon as possible—even for emergency admissions.
We’ll set up your account, review your insurance, conduct a nursing interview and assessment, and complete any required testing (like labs or EKGs). Additional tests may be needed if your procedure involves anesthesia.
When you see a doctor, health care provider or visit a health care facility that is not in your health insurance network, such as in an emergency, you may incur other costs or be responsible for the entire bill.
The No Surprises Act protects consumers who have health coverage through their employer (including federal, state, or local government employers), the Health Insurance Marketplace® or an individual health plan purchased directly from an insurance company.
To request your medical records, you can call our medical records department at (713) 948-7023.
