Dr. Aparajita Spencer and Tajuana Prater Join CHI Memorial

CHATTANOOGA, TN (October 21, 2025) - CHI Memorial Medical Group is pleased to welcome Aparajita Spencer, MD, and Tajuana Prater, FNP-C, to CHI Memorial Breast Care Associates.  

Dr. Spencer received her medical degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed a general surgery residency at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina, and a fellowship in breast surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  

Prater earned a bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a master’s in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale.  She has 18 years of nursing experience at CHI Memorial and has twice received a Nurse of Excellence recognition award. Prater is a native of Ringgold, Georgia.

Dr. Spencer and Prater join Betsy Washburn, MD, fellowship-trained breast surgeon; Angela Reich, WHNP-C; and Casey Waddle, FNP-C, at CHI Memorial Breast Care Associates.
