CommonSpirit, Tennessee and Georgia Reach Agreement with Cigna

CommonSpirit Health in TN & GA, including Chattanooga Heart Institute, reached a 2-year Cigna agreement, effective Feb 1, 2026, for Open Access & LocalPlus.

Chattanooga, Tenn. (April 10, 2026) – CommonSpirit Health facilities in Tennessee and Georgia, including The Chattanooga Heart Institute, reached a two-year agreement with Cigna.  This agreement allows Cigna members in employer-sponsored Open Access and LocalPlus plans to continue using CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospitals, their services and facilities.  It also includes CommonSpirit Medical Group and The Chattanooga Heart Institute physicians and advanced practice providers.

The new agreement began February 1, 2026.

This agreement helps patients access local, quality care. CommonSpirit's goal was to ensure it could continue to meet patient needs now and in the future. CommonSpirit provides the community with quality care and services at CommonSpirit - Memorial Hospitals, CommonSpirit Medical Group and The Chattanooga Heart Institute.
