LEXINGTON, Ky. (September 24, 2026) – CommonSpirit Health in Kentucky has announced that Matthew Eads, MD, has joined CommonSpirit Medical Group - Orthopedic Surgery - East Lexington. Dr. Eads is dedicated to helping patients restore function, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy.
“I understand the value of addressing conditions with a team-centered philosophy,” he said. “I want to involve occupational therapy, physical therapy and pain management specialists to ensure patients receive the best outcomes.”
Dr. Eads earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the UK. His primary focus is helping patients facing issues with their hands. He is a member of both the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
“I enjoy giving a patient their hand function back,” he said. “I want patients to return to the activities they enjoy and require in their day-to-day lives.”
Dr. Eads lives in Lexington with his wife, whom he met on a medical mission trip while in college, and three young daughters. He enjoys attending sporting events and concerts, hunting, and spending time with his family.
