St. Joseph's Welcomes its First Baby Born in 2026

PHOENIX, Ariz. (Jan. 1, 2026) – Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is celebrating the hospital’s first baby to be born in the New Year. At 12:02 a.m. on January 1, just two minutes into the new year, the Garcia-Gutierrez family of Mesa welcomed their second child, a healthy baby boy who weighed in at 8.1 pounds and measured in at 20.8 inches. Mom says she had a smooth and beautiful delivery, cherishing the expert and supportive care she and her family experienced from the St. Joseph's team.
