Wound Healing Center at St. Luke's Health Earns National Award

St. Luke's Health - Brazosport Hospital's Wound Healing Center wins prestigious Healogics Center of Distinction Award for exceptional care and patient satisfaction.

Lake Jackson, TX (April 15, 2026) — The Wound Healing Center at St. Luke's Health - Brazosport Hospital has been awarded the prestigious Center of Distinction Award by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92%. This recognition is a testament to the exceptional care and dedication demonstrated by the Center’s physicians, leaders and clinicians.

“This recognition reflects the consistency and commitment of our entire team,” said Clinical Program Director David Bokovac, RN. “Wound care is rarely simple. Our patients come to us with complex needs, and it takes coordinated, evidence-based care to help them heal. I’m proud of the way our team shows up every day to deliver not just clinical excellence, but compassion and support throughout the healing journey.”

The Wound Healing Center at Brazosport is part of the Healogics network, which supports nearly 600 hospital outpatient Wound Care Centers® nationwide. Through this partnership, the Center is managed by Healogics and provides highly specialized and evidenced-based wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds.

"We are incredibly proud of our Wound Healing Center team for consistently delivering outstanding patient outcomes and satisfaction," said Hospital President Bob Trautman. "This award from Healogics showcases their dedication and the life-changing impact they have on our community."

Advanced wound care modalities provided by our wound care experts include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies. The Wound Healing Center at Brazosport also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, an advanced treatment that can help accelerate healing in select chronic wounds by increasing oxygen delivery to affected tissue.
