PASADENA, TX (May 6, 2026) – St. Luke’s Health - Patients Medical Center has achieved an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group. This distinguished national recognition, awarded in Leapfrog’s Spring 2026 assessment, positions St. Luke’s Health - Patients Medical Center among the safest hospitals in the nation. 

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns A, B, C, D or F grades to general hospitals across the U.S.It evaluates over 30 measures including errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the robust systems hospitals implement to prevent them. This rigorous assessment highlights a hospital's consistent commitment to patient well-being.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only national rating program exclusively centered on preventing medical errors, infections and injuries. This peer-reviewed program is freely accessible to the public, designed to empower individuals in making well-informed health care choices. Grades undergo updates biannually, each fall and spring.
