Dignity Health Nevada insurance information

We are committed to making your health care experience as seamless as possible. We accept most insurance plans, making it easier for you to access the best care at the best value.

Understanding your insurance coverage

Navigating health insurance can be complex. We are here to help you understand how your plan works for care received at hospitals and clinics throughout Nevada.

We work with many insurance providers to make sure you have access to the care you need. Before your visit or procedure, we recommend confirming your insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits with your health plan or the hospital or clinic’s billing department.

Before your appointment or hospital stay, we recommend you:

  • Contact your insurance company: Call the number on your insurance card to understand your benefits, copayments, deductibles and coinsurance. Ask if your specific Dignity Health hospital or doctor is in your plan's network.

  • Understand prior authorization: Some services need approval from your insurance company before you receive care. Confirm if your treatment requires prior authorization to avoid unexpected costs.

  • Bring your insurance card: Always bring your current insurance card to every appointment. This helps us ensure accurate billing to your plan.

Knowing the difference between in-network and out-of-network care helps you make informed choices about your health care and avoid unexpected costs.

  • In-network (participating) providers: These providers and hospitals have a contract with your insurance plan. You typically pay less out-of-pocket for their services.

  • Out-of-network (non-participating) providers: These providers and hospitals do not have a contract with your insurance. Your plan may pay less, or not at all, leaving you with higher costs.

We try to be in-network with as many plans as possible. Always confirm your coverage directly with your insurance provider.

At Dignity Health, we understand the importance of accessible and affordable health care. We accept a wide variety of health insurance plans, including most major commercial and Medicare Advantage plans, at any of our Nevada facilities:

Because plans and coverage can change, the most accurate way to verify coverage is to contact your insurance company to ensure your doctor is included in their network. To reach your insurance company, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card. You may also call your hospital’s billing department or your doctor’s office for general questions or their list of accepted insurances.

If you do not have health insurance, we are still here to provide care. We offer financial assistance programs and can help you explore options for coverage. Your health and well-being are our top priority.

After your visit, you will receive a bill for services. This bill will often show the total charges, what your insurance paid and the amount you owe. If you have questions about your bill, contact our patient financial services team.
