Cancer Care at Dignity Health - Mercy Hospital Downtown works with the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center (CBCC) to bring you excellent cancer care close to home. We are one of the few locations on the West Coast to offer a nonsurgical, pain-free radiation therapy technique. This advanced technology allows us to precisely treat tumors anywhere in the body with few or no side effects.

At our surgery center, you can get specialized procedures, including minimally invasive robot-assisted surgery to treat various cancers. We are known for our high-quality care, recognized by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC)) as a Center of Excellence for both Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery. We also offer a full range of infusion therapy services in a comfortable, peaceful setting, from chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy to plasmapheresis and fluids for dehydration.

To support you through every stage of your treatment, you will have access to dedicated oncology nurse navigators. These specialized nurses guide you through your cancer treatment journey, offering emotional support, assisting with paperwork, coordinating appointments and enhancing communication with your healthcare team.

Referral requirements depend on your health insurance plan. Some insurance plans in California require a referral from a primary care doctor, while others allow you to schedule an oncology appointment directly.
