We are a certified comprehensive stroke center (CSC) by DNV, a national certifying body that uses rigorous evaluations based on national quality and safety standards. CSCs have the tools, resources and personnel to handle the most serious stroke cases.

Artificial intelligence in stroke care saves critical minutes and hours during triage and the diagnosis of strokes. Within seconds, physicians receive notifications regarding which areas of the brain are affected by a stroke, leading to quick and precise treatment. This technology also allows for more synchronicity of care thanks to its cloud-based system that automatically analyzes and sends scan results to all physicians on the team.

When a stroke is severe or  life threatening, we have neurocritical care units that offer lifesaving services to stabilize patients.

Medications that dissolve or break down blood clots are known as thrombolytic therapy. Doctors use them to treat conditions like stroke where a blocked blood vessel can seriously damage blood flow to the brain. They work best when administered as close to the time of the stroke as possible. Doctors sometimes refer to thrombolytics as tPA.

Many of the risk factors for stroke can be modified with lifestyle changes, these include:

• Alcohol use disorder

• Diabetes

• High blood pressure

• High cholesterol

• Obesity and overweight

• Sleep apnea

• Smoking
