  • Cardiac stress tests monitor your heart function while exercising or under exertion. 
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) checks for problems with your heart’s electrical activity.
  • Echocardiogram is a type of ultrasound that evaluates how your heart muscle and valves are working. 
  • Noninvasive program stimulation (NIPS), a test to check how well your implanted defibrillator is working.
  • Nuclear medicine scan identifies damaged heart muscle and checks blood flow to and from your heart.
