Your PCP is familiar with your medical history and can often address your concerns through a virtual visit or a scheduled in-person appointment. Your PCP’s care team can also help determine the most appropriate next step, including whether urgent care is recommended.

Care may be provided by a doctor, physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP). These providers are all licensed to diagnose conditions, order tests and prescribe medications.

When needed, our urgent care providers can coordinate with your primary care provider (PCP) to support continuity of care and help guide next steps after your visit. With your permission, we can send a summary of your urgent care visit to your PCP. We can also share what to expect after your visit, including prescription information, at-home care and recommendations to see a specialist or your PCP.
