Patients are seen based on how serious their condition is, not by order of arrival. This process is called triage. From the moment you arrive, you’ll speak with a nurse who will assess your needs and ensure you receive the most appropriate care quickly. Patients with life-threatening issues, like a heart attack or severe injury, will always be seen first.
Bring a photo ID, insurance card, a list of medications and any relevant medical records. If needed, bring someone who can help provide information about your condition.
We typically send a summary of your visit to your primary care physician or your referring doctor. This helps to ensure that your doctor is aware of your visit and any treatment you received, which is important for your ongoing care.
