At the Pediatric Center at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, we’re committed to providing pediatric care in a comfortable, compassionate setting. Our pediatric unit provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for a wide range of children’s illnesses and injuries, from respiratory diseases and infections to appendicitis and seizure conditions. Certified by California Children’s Services, our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) treats children with complex and critical health conditions, such as major traumas. We also offer comprehensive support services, including certified child life specialists who are trained to help children and families cope with the stress and uncertainty of a hospital stay.
Our modern center includes amenities designed to help children and families feel more comfortable during a hospital stay, including a lounge just for teens, on-demand movie and music options, pet therapy services and a playroom with floor-to-ceiling windows for natural sunlight and a healing environment.

Pediatric unit visiting policy:
Siblings of all ages may visit
Other than siblings, no visitors may be under the age of 18 years old
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times
Caregivers are welcome 24/7, and one may stay overnight
Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) visiting policy:
No visitors under the age of 18
Visitors are required to obtain a photo access pass from security at the information desk. The pass must be worn above the waist while on campus. If you’re sick or have symptoms like fever, cough or runny nose, please visit another time or wear a mask to protect others.
