Thirteen CommonSpirit Health hospitals have received the 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades. The award, announced during National Patient Safety Awareness Week, highlights hospitals that consistently minimize preventable complications and events during a patient’s hospital stay.
The recognition places these CommonSpirit facilities among the top 10% and top 5% of hospitals in the nation for patient safety outcomes.

Healthgrades evaluates hospitals nationwide for their performance in preventing serious, potentially avoidable complications during hospital stays. These 13 CommonSpirit hospitals were recognized for their performance based on an analysis of risk-adjusted outcomes across 13 specific patient safety indicators (PSIs) from 2022-2024.
