Dignity Health Arizona offers physicians and allied health professions access to Arizona Medical Association accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs to enhance patient care and fulfill annual credit requirements.

Dignity Health Arizona offers a range of accredited CME activities designed for both specialty-specific and interdisciplinary learning.

Live activities include:

  • Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS)

  • Conferences and symposiums

  • Lectures

  • Hands-on workshops

Practice improvement programs:

  • Performance Improvement CME (PI-CME)

  • Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives

  • Maintenance of Certification (MOC) support

Currently, all CME credits are offered through live, interactive events, with plans to introduce enduring (on-demand) materials in the future.

Examples of regularly scheduled series include:

This 2.5-day intensive course provides hands-on training in cardiac computed tomography angiography (CTA), including review of at least 50 cases.

The program is designed to meet SCCT Level II and Level III credentialing requirements and is endorsed by the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT).

Topics covered include:

  • Patient selection

  • Image acquisition

  • Interpretation of cardiac and coronary findings

  • Dose optimization strategies

  • Identifying artifacts vs. pathology

  • Clinical reporting

This course prepares physicians to become confident, independent cardiac CTA readers.

The following learning formats are eligible for CME credit:

  • Live activities: One-time, in-person educational events

  • Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS): Ongoing weekly, monthly or quarterly sessions

  • Performance Improvement CME (PI-CME): A structured process that includes:

    • Learning about performance measures

    • Assessing current practice

    • Implementing improvements over time

  • Committee learning: Educational discussions within qualifying committee meetings
