Our Dignity Health Medical Group Maternal-Fetal Medicine – St. Joseph's specialists provide high-risk pregnancy care for both mother and baby. We specialize in helping women who need advanced surgical, critical or emergency care, as well as pregnancies where the baby may have health concerns or abnormalities.
As our patient, you’ll have access to preconception counseling and high-risk pregnancy consultation. We offer a full range of diagnostic procedures including:
Antenatal (fetal) testing
Fetal echo
Genetic testing and counseling
Invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing
OB ultrasound (basic and comprehensive)
Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists are fellowship-trained, board-certified gynecologists and obstetricians. They partner with your primary care provider, obstetrician or midwife and may collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric surgeons and pediatric cardiologists to help give you expert care.
We provide care before, during and after your pregnancy, including:
24-hour in-hospital coverage
Fetal care services
Gestational diabetic education and management
Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) (highest level in the state)
Maternal transport service covering all of Arizona, including rural areas
Our team will send you an automated telephone call or text message to remind you of your appointment. Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to allow time for parking, check-in and filling out patient forms. Remember to bring your current medication list, insurance card, photo ID and copayment if applicable.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call (602) 406-7048 at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled time. This allows us to promptly reschedule your visit and offer the open slot to another patient. If you arrive late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. If you cancel or fail to show multiple times it may impact our ability to care for you. Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may affect our ability to continue providing your care.
Patients receiving care through our maternal fetal medicine clinic can deliver at the Family Birth Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. The birth center offers a comfortable and supportive environment with compassionate care. Our team includes obstetricians, midwives, nurse practitioners, specially trained labor and delivery nurses, postpartum nurses, lactation consultants and nutritionists. They will guide you through every step of your childbirth journey. We believe that birth is a personal and meaningful experience, and we are honored to be part of yours.
