At Dignity Health Women’s Center – Mercy Southwest in Bakersfield, we offer complete urogynecology and gynecologic cancer care to patients throughout Kern County. We are the only clinic in the county with a specialty-trained gynecologic oncologist and urogynecologist with pelvic reconstruction expertise. 

As a patient, you’ll receive compassionate, comprehensive care for pelvic and gynecologic conditions. Our experienced staff is fluent in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Cantonese.

The Dignity Health Women’s Center – Southwest provides comprehensive women’s health and cancer care services. We provide breast imaging, 3D mammography, gynecology, urogynecology and gynecologic oncology. The center also provides radiation oncology, medical oncology, and gynecological surgery in a coordinated setting.

A referral may be required depending on your insurance plan. Many screening mammograms can be scheduled with an order from your provider. Please call the center to confirm requirements before booking your appointment.

Yes, the center provides specialized gynecologic oncology services. Care includes evaluation, surgery and coordination of medical or radiation therapy when needed. Patients receive personalized treatment plans based on their diagnosis.

Yes, a cancer nurse navigator helps guide patients through the diagnosis and treatment process. They assist with scheduling, education and connecting patients to resources. This support helps reduce stress and improve care coordination.

Yes, DEXA scans are available to assess bone health and screen for osteoporosis. This quick, low-dose imaging test helps evaluate fracture risk. Results are reviewed with your provider to determine next steps.
