Our outpatient rehabilitation program at Dignity Health Dominican Hospital offers a continuum of care for adults and children recovering from a serious illness or injury. Our physical therapy and occupational therapy program provides a comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide variety of patients including orthopedic, neurological and complex medical conditions.

Our licensed staff at Dominican Hospital will provide therapy based on evaluation of your condition and your own personal goals. This one-on-one therapy may include at-home exercises, aquatic therapy and interventions for walking needs, such as walking aides or a gait trainer. Many of our physical therapists are trained and certified in Neuro-Development Treatment (NDT), Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS), Neuro-IFRAH care for stroke or brain injury and LSVT Big therapy for neurological conditions like Parkinson’s disease.

The orthopedic physical therapy team at Dominican Hospital provides results-oriented, personalized therapy services for patients with all types of orthopedic injuries, conditions and surgeries. We evaluate and treat each patient on an individual basis and are committed to helping you reach your optimal level of function. We work closely with you, the orthopedic physician and other clinicians to coordinate your care and help you achieve the best outcomes.

We help children with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, sensory or feeding difficulties and their families. At Dominican Hospital, our team of occupational medicine specialists and physical therapists is specially trained to work with babies, medically fragile infants, premature babies and young children. They provide direct, hands-on, child-focused treatment designed to meet the needs of you and your child.

They also work to educate your family about many other issues related to your child’s condition and how to care for them. At Dominican Hospital, we offer occupational therapy and physical therapy, designed to meet the unique needs of infants and young children.

Our program offers bilingual, English and Spanish speech therapy to adults and children starting at the age of three. Our speech-language pathologists have specialized certifications in:

If you have impaired mobility due to injury or illness, the Wheelchair/Mobility Program at Dominican Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation Center can help. Our therapists work together with qualified vendors to identify the most effective mobility aid and/or wheelchair equipment for you. 

We provide evaluations for:

We also provide functional mobility evaluations for patients whose mobility needs have not been previously assessed. Our specially trained therapists conduct a complex evaluation, including balance and fall risk, and submit the results/report and recommendations to the referring physician for consideration.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an evaluation and treatment by a physical therapist trained in vestibular disorders.
