How your care team works:
Choosing your primary care provider (PCP): Select one of our teaching physicians to be your PCP, and their name will be listed on your insurance card.
Your resident physician: Before your first visit, you will be assigned a highly-skilled resident physician. This resident physician will be your primary doctor for appointments, managing your care, coordinating services and handling any referrals.
A resident physician is a medical doctor who has graduated from medical school and is completing postgraduate training in a specialized area of medicine. During residency, our providers work in our clinics under the supervision of attending physicians, gaining hands-on experience diagnosing and treating patients, performing minor procedures and providing a range of treatments. At Mercy Family Health Center, our resident physicians work with your primary care provider to provide comprehensive care. If you have questions, you can call us at (855) 403-7363.
