At Mercy Family Health Center, our doctors and residents offer comprehensive one-stop service for patients of all ages, including primary and urgent care, X-rays, labs and access to hospital specialists. We support patients of every age in navigating their health care journey, helping to make transitions between care stages simple and seamless.

We are a teaching program dedicated to providing exceptional, high-quality care. We strive for you to see the same provider as often as possible to ensure close follow-up and continuous care.

How your care team works:

1. Choosing your primary care provider (PCP): Select one of our teaching physicians to be your PCP, and their name will be listed on your insurance card.

2. Your resident physician: Before your first visit, you will be assigned a highly-skilled resident physician. This resident physician will be your primary doctor for appointments, managing your care, coordinating services and handling any referrals.

3. Collaboration: Your resident physician works in close partnership with your chosen PCP to support your care.

A resident physician is a medical doctor who has graduated from medical school and is completing postgraduate training in a specialized area of medicine. During residency, our providers work in our clinics under the supervision of attending physicians, gaining hands-on experience diagnosing and treating patients, performing minor procedures and providing a range of treatments. Our primary care services include:

• Annual wellness checkups

• Flu shots and immunizations

• Follow-ups after an inpatient hospital visit or outpatient surgery

• Mental health counseling

• Nutritional counseling

• Physical exams

• Preoperative evaluations

• Preventive care

• Sick visits

• Weight management

• Well-child care, including regular checkups, physical exams and immunizations

• Well-woman care, including gynecological exams and pregnancy tests
