Located across the street from Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, Mercy Family Health Center offers convenient, one-stop care for patients of all ages. Our team provides primary care and urgent care, along with on-site X-rays, lab services and easy access to hospital specialists when you need them. We also provide trauma-informed primary care for people who have experienced human trafficking.

We encourage you to schedule an appointment before you arrive. For existing patients, we offer same-day visits for urgent needs. We also welcome walk-in patients, depending on space and the urgency of care.

As a teaching clinic, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. How your care team works:

  1. Choosing your primary care provider (PCP): Select one of our teaching physicians to be your PCP, and their name will be listed on your insurance card.

  2. Your resident physician: Before your first visit, you will be assigned a highly-skilled resident physician. This resident physician will be your primary doctor for appointments, managing your care, coordinating services and handling any referrals.

  3. Collaboration: Your resident physician works in close partnership with your chosen PCP to support your care.

A resident physician is a medical doctor who has graduated from medical school and is completing postgraduate training in a specialized area of medicine. During residency, our providers work in our clinics under the supervision of attending physicians, gaining hands-on experience diagnosing and treating patients, performing minor procedures and providing a range of treatments. At Mercy Family Health Center, our resident physicians work with your primary care provider to provide comprehensive care. If you have questions, you can call us at (855) 403-7363.
