We know every journey to health and wellness is different. Whether you need cost estimates, financial assistance, help paying bills or information about accepted insurance plans, we’re here to guide you and make the process easier.
Visitors are a valued part of our patients’ care team, and your safety is important to us. Visiting hours are daily from 9 a.m to 9 p.m., except in the intensive care units, visiting hours are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Please wash your hands often and avoid visiting if you’re sick.
Visiting guidelines by unit
Emergency department: One visitor as space allows; two legal guardians for patients under 18
Family birth center: Four visitors during labor, delivery and recovery; children under 17 must be with an adult
NICU: Two banded and two designated visitors; children under 12 may wait in the lobby with an adult. All visitors must show a government-issued ID
Intensive care units: Visitors under 14 years old are not encouraged, due to the sensitive nature of care.
We want your stay to be comfortable, safe and stress-free. Rooms are assigned based on your doctor’s orders, care needs and availability. Please bring only essential clothing and toiletries. Leave all valuables and electric appliances such as hair dryers or razors, at home.

Yes, we offer several in-person and virtual classes and support groups dedicated to your health and wellness. We’re here for you and your family with resources that include cancer support groups, classes for new parents and informational bariatric surgery seminars
Where you choose to welcome your new addition to the family is a big decision. We offer virtual and in-person tours of our Family Birth Center to ensure you know what to expect during your birthing experience.
We believe every patient deserves care that reflects their values, wishes and dignity. Advance directives give you the opportunity to share your wishes for medical care if you’re unable to speak for yourself. It can outline preferences for life-sustaining treatment, pain control and name someone to make decisions on your behalf.
If you already have an advance directive, please bring a copy with you when you come to the hospital. If you don’t, you can complete a form during your stay or download one in English or Spanish. Our chaplains, case managers, discharge planners and social workers are here to help you through the process.
Volunteers are an integral part of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, extending non-clinical care and compassion to all patients and visitors. Our volunteers include students, working adults and retirees.
We offer volunteer opportunities at Methodist Hospital and Bruceville Terrace. Those interested in volunteering must commit to 100 volunteer hours per year. Selection is based on open volunteer positions, skill level and meeting certain requirements.

Free on-site parking is available. Visitors can drop off or pick up patients near the entry canopy at the main entrance.
