CommonSpirit Health hospitals named Top Hospitals by Leapfrog Group

CHICAGO — Dec. 16, 2025 – Eleven CommonSpirit Health hospitals in five states have been named Top Hospitals by Leapfrog Group.

To be named a Top Hospital, a facility must have earned an “A” grade in the latest Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades and demonstrate excellent patient safety, including systems to prevent medication errors, outstanding maternity care, and lower infection rates. 

The CommonSpirit hospitals receiving the 2025 Top Hospital award include:

Top Teaching Hospitals

• Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, AZ

• CommonSpirit - St. Francis Hospital - Interquest in Colorado Springs, CO

• St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA

• Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA

Top General Hospitals

• Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley in West Jordan, UT

• Mercy Hospital of Folsom in Folsom, CA

• Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA

• St. John’s Hospital Camarillo in Camarillo, CA

• Woodland Memorial Hospital in Woodland, CA

Top Rural Hospitals

• Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO

• Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, CA

In addition to this Top Hospital recognition, 86 percent of eligible CommonSpirit hospitals earned an ‘A’ or ‘B’ grade in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Report.

The Leapfrog rankings are the latest in a series of patient safety and quality accolades CommonSpirit has received in 2025, further highlighting the organization's continuous pursuit of excellence including:
