Yes, we offer both inpatient and outpatient surgery.
If you have inpatient surgery, you’ll stay at the hospital for at least one night to make sure you get the right post-operative care. If you have outpatient surgery, you can go home the same day that you have surgery. Whether you’re a candidate for outpatient surgery depends on several factors. Your doctor will discuss your personalized surgical options with you in partnership and humankindness.
On the day of surgery, you should bring your photo ID, insurance card and payment. Expect to fill out any necessary forms, receive your hospital ID bracelets and have your vitals taken. Women may need to also provide a urine specimen. You will be asked to change into a hospital gown and slippers and get your IV placed and have your surgical site marked. Please leave your belongings with the staff or your support person.
During the procedure, your family can keep track of your progress on a board in the waiting room. After surgery, you will be taken to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) where staff will monitor your vitals and manage any discomfort you may have.
