At Millennium Surgery Center, we want to make the financial process as clear and easy as possible. Insured patients will need to pay their estimated copay, coinsurance or deductible on the day of their surgery. Uninsured patients are asked to pay for services on or before their surgery day. We are here to help you understand your billing, provide estimates and explain available financial assistance options.
Ambulatory surgery centers, sometimes called outpatient surgery centers, are facilities where surgeries that do not require hospital admission are performed. They provide a more cost-effective, convenient and less-stressful environment for surgery.
Ambulatory surgery centers provide a convenient, efficient alternative to hospitals for same-day procedures. Patients benefit from shorter wait times, easier scheduling and lower costs as compared to hospital procedures.
Most procedures at ambulatory surgery centers allow you to go home the same day, reducing disruption to your routine and limiting exposure to hospital-related infections. These surgery centers also maintain high safety standards with experienced, specialized care teams.
The day before your surgery, a preoperative nurse from Millennium Surgery Center will call you to inform you when to arrive for surgery, review your preoperative instructions and verify you have received a copy of your patient bill of rights. They will also go over all your routine medications and answer any questions you have.
The day of your surgery, you’ll want to arrive one hour early, wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring your completed forms, ID, insurance card and copay (if applicable). You’ll also want to make sure you’ve planned for someone to drive you home after your procedure.
When you arrive for surgery at Millennium Surgery Center, you’ll check in with a registration specialist and wait in a comfortable reception area. Afterward, you’ll be taken to pre-op, where you’ll prepare for surgery and meet your anesthesiologist. A family member may stay with you until your procedure begins.
During your procedure, you’ll be taken to the operating room where your surgeon, nurses and technicians will care for you. Your anesthesiologist will continuously monitor you to ensure safety and comfort.
Our anesthesiologists work with your physician to keep you safe and comfortable. On the day of your surgery, your anesthesiologist will review your medical history, explain your anesthesia plan and help minimize any anxiety, discomfort or nausea.
After surgery, you will be taken to our fully equipped recovery room. Here you will be cared for by our recovery room registered nurses, who will help reduce any pain or nausea that you experience.
When you are ready for discharge, the recovery room nurses will provide you with specific written discharge instructions from your doctor regarding your postoperative care. Following these instructions will help you heal and have the best possible outcome.
We’re here to help make your child’s surgery as calm and safe as possible. Our preoperative nurse will guide you through any eating and drinking instructions before surgery, so your child is prepared for their procedure.
The day of the procedure, you can bring a favorite toy, blanket or pacifier to help your child feel more comfortable. A parent or legal guardian will need to stay at our facility for the entire visit and be present when your child goes home. For safety, infants and young children must be secured in an appropriate car seat while leaving the facility.
Coverage for surgery can vary based on your insurance. We recommend confirming your insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits before your procedure. Our experienced team can help you with this if necessary.
Review and follow your preoperative instructions, including any dietary requirements and planning for transportation after your procedure.
To confirm that your insurance plan is accepted at our clinic, please call us directly. Our caring team is ready to assist you.
Your comfort is important to us. Our waiting area includes a TV and coffee station. Please bring a sweater if you tend to run cold.
