At your initial appointment, your orthopedic surgeon will review your medical history and discuss the reason for your visit. They will ask about symptoms such as pain, stiffness or swelling and perform a physical exam.
If needed, your doctor may recommend imaging tests, such as an X-ray, CT scan or MRI, to help confirm a diagnosis. They will also review possible conditions and discuss treatment options designed to support your recovery and mobility.
