Sacramento, Calif. — Dignity Health, a member of CommonSpirit Health, is proud to announce that eight California hospitals have been recognized with Environmental Excellence Awards from Practice Greenhealth, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing sustainability in healthcare.
The awards honor hospitals that demonstrate outstanding environmental stewardship and implement innovative sustainability practices that support healthier communities and a more resilient future.
Of the 10 CommonSpirit hospitals recognized nationwide this year, eight are located in California, underscoring the state's leadership in environmental sustainability and Dignity Health California’s ongoing commitment to responsible healthcare operations.
In addition to the hospital-level honors, CommonSpirit also received the health system-level recognition from Practice Greenhealth for the first time, reflecting the organization's enterprise-wide commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable care delivery.
