Here to serve
As a mission-driven organization, we seek to weave better health into every part of our communities so that more people and places can prosper. Only when our health is strong can we begin to grow stronger as a community.

Our mission, vision, and values
We strive to build more resilient communities, advocate for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovate how and where healing can happen—both inside our hospitals and out in our communities.
We are committed to a mission of serving all people, especially those who are vulnerable. As the nation’s leading provider of Medicaid services, we work to ensure those in need have access to quality care.
Our range of community health programs, research programs, virtual care services, and home health programs address the root causes of poor health such as access to quality care, affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, and a healthy environment.
Where we are
With a large geographic footprint representing some of the most diverse communities across America, CommonSpirit delivers clinical excellence across a system of 140 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites in 21 states.

Our history
CommonSpirit was created by the combination of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health as a single ministry in early 2019. Today, we continue to build on that foundation of compassion as we care for the common good.
"We created CommonSpirit Health because in order to solve national health challenges, we need the breadth, scope, and resources to make a nationwide impact," - CEO Lloyd H. Dean.
We're guiding the future of healthcare
CommonSpirit is led by a strong, diverse team of experienced, mission-driven health care leaders.
