A primary care provider (PCP) is a health care professional you see for many routine and non-emergent health concerns. A family medicine provider is one type of PCP, and PCPs can also include advanced practice providers (APPs), such as nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs).
Our primary care team includes family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners. They’re focused on building long-term relationships with patients and families. We treat acute illnesses, help manage chronic conditions and focus on prevention and education to support your overall health.
Most family medicine appointments last about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your needs. A routine checkup may be shorter, while visits for multiple concerns or follow-up care may take more time. We will let you know what to expect when you schedule your visit.
