At Mercy Medical Group in Natomas, our family medicine providers offer compassionate care to support your whole family’s health. We see patients of every age for routine checkups, preventive care, and treatment for common illnesses and ongoing conditions. We can also help coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments when needed.

A primary care provider (PCP) is a health care professional you see for many routine and non-emergent health concerns. A family medicine provider is one type of PCP, and PCPs can also include advanced practice providers (APPs), such as nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs).

Our primary care team includes family medicine physicians,nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs). They’re focused on building long-term relationships with you and your family. We treat acute illnesses, help manage chronic conditions and focus on prevention and education to support your overall health.

An advanced practice provider (APP) is a health care professional with advanced education and clinical training, allowing them to perform tasks traditionally carried out by physicians. This category includes nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), certified nurse midwives (CNMs) and clinical nurse specialists (CNSs).

These professionals play an important role in providing health care services, such as diagnosing and treating medical conditions, prescribing medications and offering preventive care.
